Review of Robert Kiyosaki's ebook:
"Rich Dad's Guide to Becoming Rich"

It looks like Robert Kiyosaki is riding the cutting edge with the release
of his new eBook "Rich Dad's Guide to Becoming Rich... Without Cutting Up Your Credit Cards."
At 100 pages and 6 chapters for $9.95, I would consider it fairly light reading.
The 5 chapter titles are:
- What is the Price of Being Cheap?
- What is the Price of a Mistake?
- What is the Price of Education?
- What is the Price of Cutting up your Credit cards?
- What is the Price of Change?
- What is the Price of Fixing your Financial Report Card?
I found it thought-provoking (as all of his books are) in assessing myself
in relation to what he was saying.
The central theme is "paying the price" of becoming rich as the chapter names reveal. Robert talks about
the things people are willing and not willing to do to become rich.
Robert certainly does not believe being solely cheap and frugal as a way to get wealthy. He also talks about maintaining
your standard of living while achieving wealth. It would seem to be a bit of a balance that is required.
Personally, I found it quite refreshing to have a different perspective because I have personally grown weary of
old advice of save, save, save. Or "pay down debt exclusively" strategy. Personally, I think it is a
bit short-sighted to have such simplistic and absolute rules which doesn't allow for improvisation or new opportunities.
Robert, of course, has become famous for his use of stories of his and Rich Dad's own life. The stories once again
go back and fill in more holes of Robert's life but also includes some of his latest encounters with people, the
media, and their reactions.
I found it a bit disappointing that the book was so short. Plus that there were some hurdles I had to jump through
to read this book like downloading and configuring Microsoft Reader. Then ordering it fron bn.com. Then having
to download the book.
I love computers and the Internet but when it comes down to old-fashioned reading, I still prefer my books. But
since there was no hardcopy alternative, I read the short eBook within a couple of hours.
